The Committee

paddyblain.jpg

Name:
Paddy Blain
Position: President, Ski Hire Manager
Course / Year: 5th year Engineering/Science
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: 2005 Bad Taste River Cruise. Let’s just say I won best dressed…
Best skiing memory: Epic Tuesday - Blue Sky powder day with friends
at Whistler, enough said.

Have you ever snowboarded? Yes … But only once, I swear!

timamos.jpgName: Tim Amos
Position: Secretary
Course / Year: 5th year Engineering/Science
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Losing my watch at Vic IVs then finding it 2 days later in the fridge. I spent the rest of the weekend listening to everyone say, “Oh, you're the idiot who left their watch in the fridge!”
Best skiing memory: 4 foot of fresh powder at Val d'Isere. Either that or any one of the 4 or so times Courtney has broken his skis.
Have you ever snowboarded? Yes, briefly. It sucked, I sucked. The dislike was mutual.

evgenykuznetsov.jpg

Name: Evgeny Kuznetsov
Position: Treasurer, Race Representative
Course / Year: 3rd year Commerce
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: I thought I’d try snowboarding. I borrowed some gear and went out by myself. I was almost dead in the dangerous conditions, but then three blonde Red Bull girls from the night before came and helped me down the hill. Then I had to call the ski lodge and get someone to come and rescue me from Burke St.
Best skiing memory: Winning my first GS race in Russia when I was 12. I was coming fourth after the first run, but after the second run I beat the guy coming third, and the top two skiers didn’t finish their second run. So I defaulted to first place.
Have you ever snowboarded? Yes. I may even do it again, if I can find those three Red Bull girls…

annacroft.jpg
Name:
Anna Croft
Position: Trip Coordinator
Course / Year: 3rd year Science
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Probably a tie between the 1st year O’Weekend trip down to Sorrento, when I lost at Kings and had to drink a horrible mixture of maple syrup beer among other things topless in the street, and 07’s VIC IVs where I passed out and then woke up again later not realising who had won...
Best skiing memory: Skiing with what had to be THE HOTTEST Swedish ski instructor, ever.
Have you ever snowboarded? Nope; my one redeeming quality.

matthewhalkyard.jpgName: Matthew Halkyard
Position: Trip Coordinator
Course / Year: 3rd year Property and Construction/Commerce
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: It’s more of a awkward/disturbing moment, but sleeping in the same room as two people bumping uglies without realizing it.
Best skiing memory: Skiing Japan’s waist-deep powder. There’s nothing like it.
Have you ever snowboarded? What’s snowboarding?

  bonnielevigne.jpg

Name: Bonnie Levinge
Position: Social Representative
Course and Year: 1st year Master of Applied Commerce – International Business
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Face planting on the d-floor at the Koroora, in a toga.
Best skiing memory: 2006 at Big White; a run called rollercoaster. It was all up and down and up and down... Bit hairy but so much fun.
Have you ever snowboarded? Yes. It was a disaster. I was on my arse all day! I cracked the shitake mushrooms and slid down on my bot bot.

stephwallace.jpgName: Steph Wallace-Rolley
Position: Social Representative
Course / Year: 3rd year Arts
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Being sticky taped to a MUSKI girl in Kooroora, Buller Week ’06, and being offered a threesome by an old man who said "How about two for the price of one? Oh and you’re already tied up... Fantastic."
Best skiing memory: Buller Week ’06! I with my best friend, I met awesome MUSKI people, I played drinking games and danced at Kooroora every night... Was the best snow experience ever, made up of a once in a lifetime group of hilarious and fun people (who also happened to be really, really ridiculously good looking).
Have you ever snowboarded? Yes… In fact that should have been my most embarrassing MUSKI moment - it resulted in me straddling a ski-hire guy named Matt 5 feet from where I hired the stupid thing.

paulrogers.jpg

Name: Paul Rogers
Course / Year: 2nd year Arts
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Dressing up for Slopestyle in VIC IVs last year. Put on a fluro one-piece suit, wore a cape, wore retro pink sunglasses and a pink headband over my helmet. I completed the event sitting down and riding a box wielding a sword.
Best skiing memory: Powder skiing in Canada when I was twelve and attempting to do a natural half pipe with my eyes closed. Guess how that ended.
Tried Snowboarding: Heck no. I’m not crossing to the dark side!

caitlinbonwick.jpg
Name: Caitlin Bonwick
Position: Publicity & Promotions
Course / Year: 3rd year Arts/Science
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: First MUSKI training session, pulled a tremendous stack in front of the entire team in the "show us what you’ve got" run, sending both my boots and poles into the neighbouring run! Impressive....
Best skiing memory: Winning VICs of course, AND the many Jäger shots that followed!
Have you ever snowboarded? Just the once, and it ended in concussion… Probably won’t happen again.

haydnrobins.jpgName: Haydn Robins
Position: Publications
Course / Year: 3rd year Arts
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Tipsily agreeing to break-dance in the Kooroora before I realised my opponent was a member of Melbourne’s famed United Styles crew, and subsequently having my ass handed to me in front of a crowd of people.
Best skiing memory: Landing my first 360.
Have you ever snowboarded? Hell to the yes, and I recommend it.

andretham.jpgName: Andre Tham
Position: Publications
Course / Year: 3rd year Arts
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Buller Week '07. Followed some of the better skiers one morning, got lost in the fog and ended up tumbling down most of Sun Valley whilst people from the chair lift watched. Incidentally, that was my first black run.
Best skiing memory: January this year, skiing in Austria. I fell in love with everything about the place. From seeing the mountains from the plane to the separate baggage line for ski bags at the airport. I remember skiing down the world cup run and just feeling great. Best trip ever!
Have you ever snowboarded? Maybe. It's a little hazy. I mean... Cocaine’s a hell of a drug.

Personalities

muskimoose.jpg

Name:
Muski Moose
Position:
Mascot
Course and Year:
79th year Arts
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment:
Finding out I was a girl.
Best skiing memory:
Singing the MUSKI anthem after winning my gold medal at the 1929 Mascot Olympics. Become a bit more of a freestyle skier since then, but I’ll never forget that glorious moment.
Have you ever snowboarded?
Only in the terrain park.

mattdonazzan.jpg

Name: Matt "If you’re not on the committee anymore why are you always hanging around?" Donazzan
Position: External Beverage Consultant
Course and Year: 5th year Arts/Commerce (Oh dear.)
Most embarrassing MUSKI moment: Getting naked on the first night of Beginners week when no one else wanted to! No, wait... Getting naked at Vic IVs in the snow then realizing I’d been locked out of the lodge! No, wait! Getting naked in front of Courtney’s mum!
Best skiing memory: Arriving in
Japan in 2003 and being one of the first Aussies to hike the peak at Niseko and ski down in neck deep powder.
Have you ever snowboarded? Yes... When it gets sloppy matt swings both ways (on the snow that is, you filthy kids).
